Health & Safety Rules for Parents & Children

  1. You must NOT arrive onto poolside anymore than a few minutes before the start of the lesson.
  2. Swimmers should not eat for at least 30 minutes prior to swimming
  3. NO food or drink is to be consumed in the pool area or changing rooms.
  4. No jewellery to be worn in the pool.
  5. Children should shower and use the toilet before the lesson as this helps to maintain the water quality and minimizes any class disruption.
  6. Girls and any boys with long hair should wear swimming hats. Goggle may be worn.
  7. Safety is very important and we may ask any student to leave the pool who is not behaving appropriately or safely.
  8. Children must not run or act inappropriately once within the pool building. We will not be responsible for any injury or accident caused as a result of children and/or parents failing to observe these rules.
  9. Poolside spectating is not allowed for health and safety reasons and for us to provide the best lesson possible. Viewing will be allowed at the end of each half term.
  10. We do accept responsibility for any spectators/parents whilst viewing the lessons.
  11. iSwim takes responsibility for your child when they step onto poolside but will not be held responsible for any child that has left the pool area or whilst in the showers and changing rooms.
  12. Please do NOT distract/interrupt or communicate with the teacher during the lesson.
  13. Parent should remain on the premises when their child is swimming.


Booking/re enrolment

  1. The following pools will follow the schools half terms – St Helen’s, Thomas Wolsey School and Ufford Park. This will mean there will be NO swimming over any of the school holidays. All dates will be confirmed in your enrollment letters.
    Clopton will run through the school holidays with the exception of Easter, Summer and Christmas.
  2. All pools will be closed on Bank Holidays.
  3. Payment MUST be paid before the start of the swimming course.
  4. All swimmers already having lessons with iSwim will have priority on their spaces provided they rebook and pay on time. Re bookings are usually done at the end of each half term. All other spaces are on a first come first served basis.
  5. If we do not receive payment due date, then you place may be given to another child.


Holidays and Cancellations

  1. If you cancel your swimming place between 7-14 days a refund will be given less a £10 charge,
  2. If you cancel within 7 days before the start of the term 50% of the course fees will be charged.
  3. If you cancel lessons once lessons have started no refunds will be given.
  4. Refunds cannot be given if your child refuses to get into the pool or if the parent changes their mind.
  5. If the pool is closed for any reason an alternative lesson will be offered or a credit will be given. If you are not re enrolling for the next term we will be unable to refund any lessons.
  6. If you are taking holiday during the lessons no credits will be given. You will of course then retain your place for the rest of the term.
  7. Refunds are not given for illness unless in exceptional circumstances.



For health and Safety reasons if your child has any of the following conditions they should NOT swim

  • Heavy Cold / Sinusitis
  • Ear infection
  • Stomach upset
  • Infectious disease ie Chicken Pox, Conjunctivitis, impetigo
  • Please ensure that verruca’s are covered or being treated with a waterproof covering or swimming will not be allowed


We Promise

  1. To provide safe, quality swimming lessons that will improve confidence and ability.
  2. Use qualified ASA/STA teachers.



  1. iSwim is not liable for any damage or loss to property whilst in the premises (either being worn or left in the pool/changing rooms) or within the grounds/car park of the premises.
  2. All parents guardians and children are asked to be careful in some car parks where there are uneven surfaces, particularly in wet weather or snowy conditions as iSwim will not be held liable for any accidents, falls or injuries (including any fatality).
  3. iSwim accepts no liability for any cars parked in any of the car parks. Vehicles are parked and left entirely at the owners risk. We cannot accept any liability for loss or damage caused to any vehicle or its contents whilst parked at the pool car parks.
